Clinical effect of acupoint massage based on syndrome differentiation combined with Western medicine on children with epigastric distention and fullness
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of acupoint massage based on syndrome differentiation and Western medicine in treating children with epigastric distention and fullness.Methods:Ninety children with epi-gastric distention and fullness diagnosed and treated in our hospital from January,2023 to June,2023 were select-ed as the research object,and were randomly divided into two groups,45 cases in each group.The control group was treated with treatment of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus triple viable bacteria tablets,while the observa-tion group was treated with acupoint massage based on syndrome differentiation.Clinical efficacy,time of symp-tom improvement,gastrointestinal hormones(gastrin[GAS],motilin[MTL]and somatostatin[SS])and serum neuropeptide Y(NPY),Orexin-A and Leptin levels were observed in the two groups after treatment.Results:Af-ter treatment,the total response rate of the observation group 97.78％(44/45)was significantly higher than that of the control group 82.22％(37/45),which was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the im-provement time of symptoms such as fullness,upper abdominal distension,belching in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P＜0.05),the GAS level of the observation group decreased,MTL and SS levels were higher than before treatment,and better than the control group(P＜0.001).After treatment,the lev-els of NPY,Orexin-A and Leptin in both groups increased compared with those before treatment,and the levels of NPY,Orexin-A and Leptin in the observation group were higher than that of the control group,showing a sta-tistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Clinical effect of acupoint massage combined with Western medicine on children with epigastric distention and fullness can shorten the time of symptom improvement,im-prove clinical efficacy,and improve gastrointestinal hormones and serum NPY,Orexin-A and Leptin levels.
