In order to assess the emergency evacuation capacity of historical and cultural blocks during the peak tourism peri-ods,and identify the risk areas of emergency evacuation in these blocks, starting from the perspectives of points, lines, and surfaces,an assessment model of emergency evacuation capability was constructed considering the pedestrian feature factors, street and alley road network factors, and building structure factors. The analytic network process(ANP)in conjunction with the exponential weighting method(EWM)was employed to ascertain the weights of each factor, and the GIS technology was utilized to the visual classification processing of factors. On this basis, the spatial analysis method was used to conduct the weighted superposition processing after the hierarchical analysis and weighting of factors, and the visual data of the emergency evacuation capability of historical and cultural blocks was obtained.Using Xi'an Huimin Street as a case study, the empirical analysis was conducted to explore the risk areas of emergency evacuation in these blocks. The results showed that the con-structed model enables a visualized graded assessment of emergency evacuation capability within the research area, reflecting varying levels of evacuation risk on Huimin Street. These results can provide a reference for emergency evacuation and the for-mulation of safety management measures in the scenic spots.
