Study on explosion characteristics and hazard analysis of acarbose dust
In order to explore the potential risk of dust explosion in the production processes of pharmaceutical industry, the explosion characteristics and thermal stability of acarbose dust were tested using a 20 L spherical explosion device,1.2 L Hartmann device, dust cloud minimum ignition temperature test device(G-G furnace),and dust layer minimum ignition temperature test device. The results show that the minimum ignition energy of acarbose dust with an average particle size of 52.6 µm is 30~100 mJ,the minimum ignition temperature is 380 ℃,the mass concentration of the lower explosion limit is 45~50 g/m3,the maximum explosion pressure is 0.737 2 MPa,the maximum explosion index is 13.352 0 MPa·m/s,the minimum ignition temperature of the dust layer is greater than 400 ℃,and the thermal decomposition begins at about 200 ℃,with the heat release amount of 704.46 J/g.Acarbose is a dust with relative temperature sensitivity, weak explosion intensity and easy thermal decomposition. The research results can provide some reference for adopting the effective prevention and control measures of dust explosion accidents in the pharmaceutical industry.
