Study on stress-strain response during dent formation process of combined defect pipeline
In order to study the dent formation process of combined defect pipeline, the full-scale test of pipeline under exter-nal load was designed and completed.Combined with the finite element simulation, the stress-strain response law of the dent formation process of combined defect was analyzed in detail. The results show that the strain variation at the measuring point near the center of defect is fast and significant. The maximum equivalent plastic strain is located at the axial edge of defected area.Under different dent depths, the residual stress state of pipeline is different, and the bending of pipe wall changes. As the dent depth increases, the position of the maximum equivalent stress gradually deviates from the center area of defect. The re-search results can provide reference for the safety evaluation of combined defect pipelines.
