Comparison of the Efficacy of Total Hip Arthroplasty via SuperPATH and Moore Approach
Objective:To explore the efficacy of SuperPATH and Moore approach total hip replacement(THA)in the treatment of femoral neck fractures. Methods:Retrospective analysis was performed on 96 patients with femoral neck frac-ture who underwent THA from February 2018 to February 2021.They were divided into observation group and control group according to surgical methods, with 48 cases in each group, the control group using Moore approach, and the obser-vation group using SuperPATH approach. The clinical indicators, hip function, level of inflammatory response index,quali-ty of life score and complications before and after surgery were compared between the two groups. Results:The incision length in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and there was no signifi-cant difference in the amount of intraoperative blood loss, inclination angle and abduction angle between the two groups(P>0.05).The hip joint function of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group at 3 months after surgery(P<0.05).The C-reactive protein(CRP)and erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)levels of the two groups were significantly higher than those befefore surgery(P<0.05),and the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05),and the difference between the CRP and ESR levels of the two groups was not statistically significant 1 months after surgery(P<0.05).At 3 months after surgery, the quality of life scores of the two groups were significantly higher than those before surgery(P<0.05),and those of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Compared with the Moore approach, the SuperPATH approach has a better clinical effect on patients with femoral neck fractures who undergo THA,which helps to restore hip function, reduce the level of inflammatory re-sponse,improve patient quality of life, and be safe and reliable.
