Efficacy Analysis of Periosteal Distraction Combined with Antibiotic Bone Cement on the Treatment of Diabetic Foot
Objective:To analyze the efficacy of periosteal distraction combined with antibiotic bone cement on the treat-ment of diabetic foot(DF).Methods:88 patients with DF from March 2021 to June 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into surgical group(43 cases, periosteal traction surgery was performed)and observation group(45 cases, antibiotic bone cement was used based on the surgical group)based on different surgical procedures. The wound healing rate, amputation rate, improvernent of lower limb blood vessels(intima media thickness, peak systolic blood flow velocity(PSV)),toe blood oxygen saturation(SPO2),foot skin temperature, ankle brachial index(ABI),and pain degree(evaluated using the pain numerical rating scale(NRS))were compared between the two groups. Results:The wound heal-ing rate in the observation group was 95.56%,which was higher than 79.07%in the surgical group(P<0.05),there was no significant difference in the amputation rate of 2.22%compared to 9.30%in the surgical group(P>0.05).3 months after surgery, the thickness of the intima media in both groups was lower than before treatment(P<0.05),the PSV,toe SPO2,affected foot skin temperature, and ABI were higher than before treatment(P<0.05),and NRS score was lower than before treatment(P<0.05),and the thickness of the intima media in the observation group was smaller than that in the surgical group(P<0.05),while PSV,toe SPO2,affected foot skin temperature,ABI were higher than those in the surgical group(P<0.05),and NRS score was lower than that in the surgical group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of periosteal distraction surgery and antibiotic bone cement treatment for DF patients can effectively improve the vascular function and blood circulation of the affected limb, significantly reduce pain, and significantly improve wound healing efficacy.
