Clinical Observation on Meridian Tendon Acupuncture Combined with Lateral Insertion for Scapular Fasciitis
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of meridian tendon acupuncture combined with lateral inser-tion for scapular fasciitis. Methods:A total of 60 patients with scapular fasciitis were randomly divided into the control group(30 cases)and treatment group(30 cases). The control group was treated with meridian tendon acu-puncture alone, and the treatment group was treated with lateral insertion on the basis of the control group. The treatment course was 4 times a week for 2 weeks. The present pain intensity(PPI),visual analogue score(VAS)and clinical efficacy of the two groups before and after treatment were observed and compared. Results:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.33%,while the control group was 70.00%.Compared between the two groups, the clinical efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group, with a statistically sig-nificant difference(P<0.05).After treatment, the VAS scores of both groups decreased compared with before treat-ment,and the treatment group was superior to the control group in improving VAS scores, with a statistically signif-icant difference(P<0.05).After treatment, the PPI scores of both groups decreased compared with before treat-ment,and the PPI scores of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group, with a statistically sig-nificant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of scapular fasciitis by meridian tendon acupuncture combined with lateral insertion can improve the clinical efficacy, improve the patients'daily activities and relieve tenderness.
