Discussion on the Effect of New Teaching Method Based on Emergency Thinking on the Teaching of TCM Emergency
Objective:To explore the influence of traditional teaching method and student-centered,case-analy-sis and emergency thinking teaching method on the teaching effect of TCM emergency.Methods:A total of 60 students majoring in traditional Chinese Medicine from Hebei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine grade 2018 were randomly divided into groups A and B.The same teacher carried out different teaching modes for the four classes of"Syndrome of syncope""Syndrome of collapse""Sudden heartache"and"Heart failure"respective-ly.Group A accepted the traditional teaching mode for the above four classes,and group B accepted the new teach-ing method led by emergency thinking,with student-centered and case analysis as the core.After the class,a uni-fied examination was conducted to check the students'learning of theoretical knowledge,and a questionnaire sur-vey was issued to evaluate the teaching effect.Results:The average scores of the students in group B who re-ceived the new teaching method were(84.66±7.85),(85.06±8.11),(85.30±6.75),(84.23±7.20),respectively.The scores of students in group A receiving traditional teaching methods were(79.73±8.08),(79.23±8.28),(79.36± 7.62),(77.76±7.95),and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Accord-ing to the questionnaire survey,the scores and total scores of learning interest,self-learning ability,teaching meth-od satisfaction,whether they understand that diseases need attention,and clinical emergency thinking ability of the new teaching method in group B were as follows:(7.01±1.11)、(7.52±1.00)、(7.38±0.96)、(7.52±1.10)、(7.78± 1.13)、(37.23±2.83),which were higher than(6.57±0.74)、(6.21±0.80)、(6.37±0.90)、(6.72±0.93)、(6.62±0.97)、(32.51±2.05)of the traditional teaching method in group A,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The student-centered teaching method with case analysis as the core and emergency thinking as the leading method is helpful to improve the teaching quality of TCM emergency,and is welcomed by students.
