Migraine is manifested as one or both sides pulsating pain,and the disease location is in Shaoyang.Shaoyang disorder is an important pathogenesis of migraine attack.First,Shaoyang disoder may result in qi disor-der and stagnation in brain,and we should reconcile Shaoyang and unblock Sanjiao to regulate qi.Second,Shaoy-ang disorder may lead to spleen and stomach disorder,zhongjiao congestion,Qingyang blockage,and we should ad-just the ascending and descending to help the spleen ascend and stomach descend.Third,Shaoyang disorder may result in Yang qi distribution disorder,blood flow unsmooth,phlegm and blood stasis,and we should regulate the disorder of Yang qi,and clear the turbid for refreshment.Chaihu Decoctions,which are based on Shaoyang or co-applied with other formulas,are all from the core conception of"Shaoyang is the Pivot".This article,based on the theory of"Shaoyang is the Pivot",tries to explore the application of Chaihu Decoctions in the treatment of mi-graine,in order to have a certain clinical guidance for the treatment of migraine by traditional Chinese medicine.
