Clinical Efficacy Observation of Electroacupuncture Combined with Huafeng Dan in the Comprehensive Treatment of Idiopathic Facial Nerve Palsy
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of electroacupuncture combined with Huafeng Dan in the treatment of idiopathic facial nerve palsy.Methods:97 patients with idiopathic facial nerve palsy were collected.Among them,48 patients were the control group and 49 patients were the observation group.Both groups were treated with basic treatment and electroacupuncture,and the observation group was combined with oral administra-tion of Huafeng Dan on the basis of the control group.The recovery of patients was evaluated by the House-Brack-man(H-B)facial nerve function grading system and the modified facial nerve function scoring system before treat-ment,at 4 weeks and 8 weeks of treatment.Results:After treatment,there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups in the comparison of H-B facial nerve function grading at each time point of treatment(P＜0.05),and the H-B grading in the control group was higher than that in the observation group.After treatment,the facial nerve function scores at each time point were lower than those at the previous time point,and the differenc-es in facial nerve function scores between two adjacent time points were statistically significant(P＜0.05);the fa-cial nerve function scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at each time point af-ter treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The differences in total effective rate be-tween the two groups at 4 weeks and 8 weeks of treatment were not statistically significant(P＞0.05),and the dif-ferences in apparent healing rate between the two groups were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Both electroacupuncture combined with Huafeng Dan comprehensive treatment and electroacupuncture treatment alone have significant efficacy on the recovery of idiopathic facial nerve palsy,and the combined application of electroacupuncture and Huafeng Dan can make the patients'facial nerve function recover faster.
