Determination of Clinical Problems in Expert Consensus on Traditional Chinese Medicine Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19
Objective:To determine the clinical problems of the Expert Consensus on the Traditional Chinese Medicine Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19,provide a basis for the consensus to form recommendations,and provide a reference for the formulation of consensus on sudden acute infectious diseases.Methods:A combina-tion of literature research and Delphi method was used.Delphi method was used to carry out the first round of questionnaire to determine the overall clinical problems focused by doctors,and form an item pool.Based on that item pool,the second round of questionnaire draft was formulated,which was included in the question list of the original with a vote rate of>70%.Sort out a total of 14 clinical questions and 15 outcome indicators,and conduct the third round of questionnaire survey.Projects with a vote rate more than 70%will be included in the guideline question list and outcome indicators.Results:A total of 145 literatures were finally included.The experts had a relatively consistent understanding of the etiology,pathogenesis,staging and treatment of COVID-19."Dampness"was considered as the core pathogenesis of the disease.Elimination and drainage of qi was the key to treatment.In terms of the disease naming,the conflict was obvious.The first round of Delphi questionnaire collected 82 ques-tionnaires,and the second round collected 92 questionnaires which formed an original list of questions.The third round of questionnaire survey ultimately adopted 14 clinical questions and 12 outcome indicators.Conclusion:Standardized screening and formulation of clinical problems based on literature research and Delphi questionnaire surveys could comprehensively reflect clinical needs,main academic viewpoints,and classic theories of exogenous fever,and improve the generalizability and feasibility of the guidelines.
