Clinical Study of Warm Acupuncture on Chronic Heart Failure Patients with Gastrointestinal Dysfunction
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of warm acupuncture on chronic heart failure(CHF)pa-tients with gastrointestinal dysfunction. Methods:A total of 80 CHF patients with gastrointestinal dysfunction were screened and divided into two groups according to random number table method with 40 cases each. The con-trol group received conventional treatment, and the observation group received warm acupuncture. Both groups were continuously treated for 4 weeks. The left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),brain natriuretic peptide(BNP),6-minute walking distance(6MWD),gastrointestinal symptom score, and gastrointestinal symptom rating scale(GSRS)score were compared before and after treatment. Results:After treatment, the LVEF and 6MWD in 2 groups were increased;the BNP,gastrointestinal symptom score, and GSRS score were decreased, and the obser-vation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).The clinical effect in the observation group was 95.00%,which was better than 77.50%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Warm acupuncture can improve cardi-ac function, increase exercise tolerance, and alleviate clinical symptoms in CHF patients with gastrointestinal dys-function.
