Clinical Observation of Acupoint Application Combined with Probiotics Treatment for Antibiotic Related Diarrhea in ICU
Objective:To observe the effect of acupoint application combined with probiotics on antibiotic asso-ciated diarrhea(AAD)with syndrome of spleen and kidney Yang deficiency based on the theory of Shu-mu acu-points.Methods:84 patients with AAD admitted to ICU who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were ran-domly divided into the experimental group and control group,42 patients each. The control group was given bifido-bacterium triplet orally or nasal feeding,3 times a day;the experimental group was additionally treated with acu-point application on the basis of the control group, once a day for 6-8 h each time. The treatment lasted for 7 days. The clinical efficacy,rod-ball ratio of stool,Hart score and diarrhea degree score were observed. Results:One case dropped off in the experimental group and two cases in the control group. The total effective rate of the experimental group was 80.49%,which was significantly higher than 65.00%of the control group, and the differ-ence between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The Hart score and diarrhea degree score of ex-perimental group were higher than those of control group after treatment(P<0.05).No obvious adverse reactions were observed in the two groups. Conclusion:The combination of acupoint application with probiotics guided by the theory of Shu-mu acupoints has good clinical effect in the treatment of AAD,which can effectively improve pa-tients'clinical symptoms of diarrhea, and is worth popularizing.
