Construction of Differentiation and Treatment System of Traditional Chinese Medicine on Acute and Critical Illnesses under the"Xu-shi three-states-theory"
The identification of acute and critical illnesses is different from the conventional diagnostic frame-work within Chinese internal medicine due to the multifarious nature of such conditions, the severity of patient states, the intricacy of their symptoms, and the rapid changes of the disease with its unique evolutionary patterns.Consequently,Professors Jiang Liangduo and Liu Qingquan, drawing upon their extensive clinical experience in treating these acute and critical diseases, summarized the core mechanism of the disease as"the transient weaken-ing of positive qi being overwhelmed by sudden onset of evil qi".They further synthesized this understanding into a specialized identification method tailored for the treatment of acute and critical illnesses within the scope of tra-ditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).This innovative approach, known as the"Xu-shi three-states Theory,"is effec-tively employed in the TCM treatment regimen for these life-threatening conditions.
