Clinical Observation on Liu's Filiform-heated Needling Combined with Skeletal-muscle Shock Wave in the Treatment of Post-stroke Shoulder-hand Syndrome
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Liu's filiform-heated needling combined with skeletal-muscle shock wave for the treatment of post-stroke shoulder-hand syndrome(SHS).Methods:Totally 90 patients with post-stroke SHS were randomly divided into 3 groups using a random number table method:the Liu's fili-form-heated needling group, the shock wave group and the combined treatment group.3 groups all received con-ventional treatment, among which the Liu's filiform-heated needling group received Liu's filiform-heated needling, the shock wave group received skeletal-muscle shock wave treatment, and the combined treatment group received a combination of Liu's filiform-heated needling and skeletal-muscle shock wave treatment, lasting for 1 month. The condition of 3 groups was evaluated using the Modified Rankin Scale(mRS),stroke quality of life scale(SS-QOL),numerical rating scale(NRS),and shoulder passive range of motion(PROM)before treatment and 1 months after treatment. Results:After 1 month of treatment, the total effective rate of the combined treatment group(96.67%)was significantly better than that of the Liu's filiform-heated needling group(80.00%)and the shock wave group(73.33%)(P<0.05).The mRS,SS-QOL,NRS scores, and shoulder joint PROM of the combined treatment group were better than those of the shock wave group(P<0.05),while the mRS,SS-QOL,NRS scores, and shoulder joint abduction PROM of the combined treatment group were better than those of the Liu's filiform-heated needling group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in shoulder joint flexion PROM between the combined treatment group and the Liu's filiform-heated needling group(P>0.05).Conclusion:The therapy of Liu's filiform-heated needling combined with skeletal-muscle shock wave for post-stroke SHS can make good per-formance on alleviating pain, improving shoulder joint function and the quality of patients'daily life.
