Observation on the Therapeutic Effect of Exercise Acupuncture on Central Acute Vestibular Syndrome
Objective:To observe the efficacy of exercise acupuncture in the treatment of central acute vestibu-lar syndrome(AVS).Methods:A total of 196 patients with central AVS were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 98 cases each. The control group was treated with exercise therapy, while the treat-ment group was treated with exercise acupuncture. The clinical efficacy, vertigo degree, vestibular symptom score, dizziness handicap inventory(DHI),vestibular disorders activities of daily living(VADL)scale,Berg balance score(BBS),and vestibular function indicators(abnormal cold and heat test and spontaneous nystagmus angle)were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate in the treatment group was 77.55%,which was higher than 65.31%in the control group(P<0.05);the grade of vertigo in both groups was improved, and the grade of vertigo in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05);the vestibular symptom score decreased in both groups, and the vestibular symptom score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group;the scores of DHI and VADL decreased, while the scores of BBS increased in the two groups, and the scores of DHI and VADL in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, while the score of BBS was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05);the abnormal cold and heat test and spontaneous nystag-mus angle decreased in the two groups, while the abnormal cold and heat test and spontaneous nystagmus angle in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Exercise acupuncture for central AVS reduces the degree of dizziness, improves vestibular symptoms and function, improves balance, and has a good effect.
