Clinical Study on the Treatment of Cervical Vertigo by Ultrasound Guided Acupotomy Release of Verte-bral Occipital Muscle Group
Objective:To evaluate the safety and clinical efficacy of ultrasound-guided acupotomy release of the vertebral occipital muscle group in the treatment of cervical vertigo. Methods:Patients were divided into three groups according to a random number table method.Group A was treated with ultrasound-guided acupotomy release of the vertebral occipital muscles.Group B was treated with filiform needle acupuncture.Group C was treated with manual massage of the vertebral occipital muscles. After 2 weeks of treatment, the evaluation scale for cervical vertigo(ESCV)scores, quality of life scores(short form 36 questionnaire,SF-36),and average blood flow velocities of the left vertebral artery(LVA),right vertebral artery(RVA),and basilar artery(BA)were compared and observed among and within the three groups before and after treatment. Results:After 2 weeks of treatment, there was a significant improvement in the ESCV,SF-36 scores,LVA,RVA,and BA mean blood flow velocity in each group(P<0.05);after 2 weeks of treatment, the ESCV,SF-36 scores,LVA,RVA,and BA average blood flow velocity in Group A were better than those in Group B and Group C,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ultrasound guided acupotomy release of the vertebral occipital muscle group has a good thera-peutic effect on cervical vertigo, can quickly alleviate cervical vertigo, and the treatment method is accurate, safe, and standardized, which is suitable for clinical promotion and application.
