Clinical Observation of Combined Treatment of Meridian and Acupoint Massage with Du Meridian Acupuncture for Cold-Damp Type in Non-Specific Low Back Pain
Objective:To explore the application and evaluate the effectiveness of combining meridian and acu-point massage with Du meridian acupuncture in the treatment of cold-damp type in non-specific low back pain.Methods:A randomized controlled trial was conducted,with 120 patients randomly divided into three groups:me-ridian and acupoint massage group,Du meridian acupuncture group,and combined group,each consisting of 40 pa-tients.The meridian and acupoint massage group received treatment with meridian and acupoint massage,the Du meridian acupuncture group received treatment with Du meridian acupoint sticking,and the combined group re-ceived treatment with meridian and acupoint massage followed by Du meridian acupoint sticking.The pre-and post-treatment visual analogue scale(VAS)and Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire(RMDQ)scores were ob-served for each group to evaluate the therapeutic effects.Results:The combined group showed significantly better improvement in VAS and RMDQ scores at 1 week,2 weeks,and 3 months after treatment and follow-up compared with the groups receiving only meridian and acupoint massage or Du meridian acupuncture alone.Conclusion:The combination of meridian and acupoint massage with Du meridian acupuncture has better therapeutic effects in the treatment of cold-damp type in non-specific low back pain.
