Analysis of the Effect of Fire-Iron Technique for pain and Its Efficacy for Patients with Lumbago of Cold-Dampness Syndrome
Objective:To explore the effect of fire-iron technique for pain and its efficacy for patients with lum-bago of cold-dampness syndrome. Methods:A total of 78 patients with lumbar pain due to cold-dampness syn-drome were selected and divided into an observation group and a control group using the random number table method,39 cases in each group. The control group received routine treatment combined with routine nursing inter-vention,while the observation group received additional fire-iron intervention on top of the routine treatment. The clinical efficacy and pain intensity(VAS score),daily functional disability(ODI score),lumbar function(JOA score),and levels of serum inflammatory factors such as interleukin-1β(IL-1β),interleukin-6(IL-6),and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)were compared between the two groups. Results:Two weeks after intervention, the VAS and ODI scores in the observation group were significantly lower, and the JOA score was significantly higher than those in the control group(all P<0.01).The levels of serum IL-1 β,IL-6,and TNF-α in both groups de-creased compared to before treatment, with a more significant decrease observed in the observation group(P<0.01).The overall effective of the observation group was 92.30%,which was significantly higher than 74.35%of thd control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Fire-iron technique can reduce the levels of inflammatory factors in pa-tients with lumbar pain due to cold-dampness syndrome, effectively alleviate their pain symptoms and improve lumbar mobility, enhance lumbar function, with confirmed efficacy and safe operation.
