Application of Management Measures to Ensure the Safety of Critical Patients during Transfer in Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital
Objective:To discuss the management practices of the Clinical Support Center(CSC)in Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital,focusing on the safe transfer of critically ill patients,and to analyze its management model,satisfaction and workload,so as to provide reference for promoting the safe transfer of critically ill patients.Methods:This paper summarized the management experience of the CSC of the Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in the safe transfer of critically ill patients over the past decade.It retrospectively analyzed the workload of patient transfers by the Emergency and Critical Transfer Teams of the CSC from January 2015 to De-cember 2023.Using a random sampling method,a self-designed questionnaire was administered to investigate the satisfaction of 500 healthcare professionals working in the emergency department,intensive care units,and related clinical departments regarding the involvement of the center's staff in the safe transfer of critically ill patients.Re-sults:The results showed that the center participated in the transfer of a total of 323 499 critically ill patients without any incidents of tube dislodgement,falls,or bed falls.The satisfaction survey revealed that healthcare pro-fessionals had a 98%satisfaction rate with the work ability of the center's staff,96%satisfaction with service atti-tude,95%satisfaction with work efficiency,and 80%satisfaction with professional conduct.Conclusion:The Clin-ical Support Center plays a significant role in the transfer of critically ill patients in large tertiary-level TCM hospi-tals,providing strong support for reducing the work pressure of clinical medical staff and ensuring the safe transfer of critically ill patients.It has positively contributed to improving the satisfaction of medical staff.In the future,the center can focus on employee incentive systems,targeted training,and information technology construction to further promote continuous quality improvement.
