Clinical Study of Zhongfeng Decoction Treatment for Acute Ischemic Stroke Based on Real-world Study
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Zhongfeng Decoction in the treatment of acute isch-emic stroke based on real-world clinical data. Methods:A retrospective study method was employed, including 395 hospitalized patients with acute ischemic stroke.Patients were divided into a treatment group that received Zhongfeng Decoction and a control group that did not receive the decoction. The changes in the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)scores before and after treatment were compared between the two groups to evalu-ate the clinical efficacy of Zhongfeng Decoction in treating acute ischemic stroke. Results:Baseline characteris-tics were balanced and comparable between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the NIHSS scores in the treatment group significantly decreased compared to before treatment(P<0.05).The effective rate in the treat-ment group was significantly higher than in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).In patients with mild, moderate, and severe neurological deficits, the effective rate in the treatment group was signifi-cantly higher than in the control group, with statistically significant differences(all P<0.05).Subgroup analysis showed that in male patients, the effective rate in the treatment group(47.00%)was significantly higher than in the control group(23.29%),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);however,there was no statistically significant difference in the distribution of effective rates between the two groups in female patients(P>0.05).In patients with ischemic stroke and comorbid hypertension, the effective rate in the treatment group(49.47%)was significantly higher than in the control group(23.19%),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);however,there was no statistically significant difference in the distribution of effective rates between the two groups in pa-tients without comorbid hypertension(P>0.05).In patients with ischemic stroke and comorbid diabetes, the effec-tive rate in the treatment group(39.74%)was significantly higher than in the control group(15.38%),with statisti-cally significant differences(P<0.05);similarly,in patients without comorbid diabetes, the effective rate in the treatment group(50.00%)was significantly higher than in the control group(28.40%),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:In real-world clinical practice, applying Zhongfeng Decoction effectively im-proves neurological deficits in patients with acute ischemic stroke and enhances clinical efficacy.
