Clinical Observation of Shenmai Injection as an Adjuvant Therapy for Severe Acute Pancreatitis
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Shenmai Injection in the adjuvant treatment of severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).Methods:SAP patients were randomly divided into a control group of 44 cases(2 cases dropped out,2 cases excluded, and finally 40 cases completed)and an observation group of 45 cases(1 case dropped out,3 cases excluded, and finally 41 cases completed)using a random number table method. The control group received routine medicine treatment, while the observation group received additional Shenmai Injection in ad-dition to routine medicine treatment. After one week of treatment, the changes in clinical symptoms, vital signs, and laboratory indicators between the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate of the observa-tion group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The tolerance rate of enteral nutrition and the improvement rate of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The bedside score and APACHE Ⅱ score of two groups of pa-tients with acute pancreatitis decreased compared with before treatment(P<0.05),and the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).The serum levels of WBC,CRP,PCT,and IL-6 in both groups of cases de-creased compared to before treatment(P<0.05),and the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).In addition,no serious adverse reactions were observed during the treatment of both groups. Conclusion:Shenmai Injection as an adjuvant therapy for SAP can improve clinical symptoms, reduce the severity of the condi-tion,and improve clinical prognosis.
