Study on Correlation between Serum Indexes and TCM Syndromes of Patients Stung by Venomous Bee
Objective:To study the distribution of TCM syndromes in patients stung by venomous bee and their correlation with serum indexes. Methods:The information of the four TCM diagnosis of 238 patients with venom bee sting was retrospectively analyzed.Three TCM physicians discussed and determined the TCM syndrome ele-ments of the patients, and Spearman correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation between TCM syn-drome elements and serum indexes. Results:In patients with venomous bee stings, the distribution of TCM syn-drome elements was in the order of toxic>wind>internal fire>blood stasis>phlegm-dampness,and the distri-bution of composite syndromes was in the order of fire-toxic>wind-toxic>phlegm-blood stasis interlacing. The duration of illness in patients with wind-toxic and fire-toxic syndromes was significantly shorter than in patients with phlegm-blood stasis interlacing, and the proportion of patients with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome(MODS)was significantly higher in the wind-toxic and fire-toxic syndromes compared to the phlegm-blood stasis interlacing syndrome(P<0.05).The levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),white blood cell count(WBC),creatine ki-nase(CK),creatine kinase MB isoenzyme(CK-MB),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),total bilirubin(TBIL),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),gamma-glutamyl transferase(GGT),and creatinine(Scr)in patients with wind-toxic and fire-toxic syndromes were significantly higher than in patients with phlegm-blood stasis interlacing(P<0.05).The levels of procalcitonin(PCT)and urea(BUN)in patients with fire-toxic syndrome were significantly higher than in patients with wind-toxic and phlegm-blood stasis interlacing syndromes(P<0.05).The levels of fibrinogen(FIB)and D-dimer(D-D)in patients with phlegm-blood stasis interlacing syndrome were significantly higher than in patients with wind-toxic and fire-toxic syndromes(P<0.05).Conclu-sion:There is correlation between serum indexes and TCM syndromes in patients with venomous bee stings, which can be referred to in clinical differentiation and treatment.
