Discussion on Ming Dynasty Physician Wan Quan's Approach to Treating Dysentery
This paper studies the treatment of dysentery described in the works of the famous Ming Dynasty pediatrician and longevity expert Wan Quan,including Bao Ming Ge Kuo,Wan Shi Nü Ke,Yu Ying Jia Mi and so on.The author think Wan Quan'experience in the treatment of dysentery integrates the linchpin of Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing,Shang Han Lun,and Jin Gui Yao Lue,etc.He proposed that the cause of dysentery was fire evil and dampness evil,and divided dysentery according to the conflict between good and evil into three categories:exces-sive heat syndrome,deficiency and cold syndrome,syndrome of intermingled deficiency and excess.On this basis,the principle of combining the operation conditions of water,fire,qi and blood was proposed.This paper provides a detailed analysis to provide a reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of dysentery.
