Application of State-based Treatment in the Analysis of Acute and Critical Cases in Clinical Teaching for Doctoral Students
The"state-based treatment"proposed by Professor Jiang Liangduo is an effective method for accu-rately distinguishing and treating various difficult, complex, and critical diseases in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Practice has proved that state-based treatment can improve clinical efficacy, especially in the treatment of acute and critical diseases, which plays an important guiding role.Integrating the diagnostic criteria of western medicine, such as symptoms, signs, and auxiliary examinations, into TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment system,TCM theory is used to analyze the clinical information of acute and critical cases and four diagnosis data of TCM,and ultimately identifying three levels of state pathogenesis:current pathogenesis, basic pathogenesis, and evolving pathogenesis.Based on this state disease mechanism, comprehensive prescriptions are formulated to treat critical and severe diseases holistically, capable of interrupting the progression and reversing the condition.Inte-grating the diagnostic and therapeutic thinking method of state-based treatment into the clinical teaching of doctor-al students with professional degrees at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine helps transform text-book knowledge into clinical skills and enhances the ability of doctoral students to integrate TCM and western medical theories, ultimately contributing to the improvement of their comprehensive capabilities in handling criti-cal and severe diseases.
