This paper posits that"Yin deficiency as the root cause and dry-heat as the manifestation"is the fundamental pathogenesis of secondary thrombocytopenia in primary Sjögren's syndrome.It proposes that,based on disease identification and syndrome differentiation,the treatment principle of"clearing the liver and purging the stomach,removing heat and preserving body fluids"should be combined with the four methods of blood treatment described in Xuezhen Lun(Treatise on Blood Disorders).Typical case analyses are provided to explore the TCM diagnosis and treatment of acute severe thrombocytopenia secondary to Sjögren's syndrome,emphasizing TCM syn-drome differentiation and leveraging the advantages of TCM in the treatment of critical and severe conditions.
