Clinical Observation on Tongdu Tiaoshen Acupuncture Combined with Vestibular Rehabilitation in Treating Vestibular Migraine
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Tongdu Tiaoshen acupuncture combined with vestibular rehabilitation in the treatment of vestibular migraine(VM).Methods:A total of 60 cases of VM patients were ran-domly divided into a treatment group and a control group,30 cases in each group.Both groups were given vestibu-lar rehabilitation treatment;the treatment group was given Tongdu Tiaoshen acupuncture,and the control group was given oral flunarizine hydrochloride capsule.The frequency and visual analogue scale(VAS)of vertigo,activi-ty-specific balance confidence(ABC)score,dizziness handicap inventory(DHI)score and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results:29 patients in the treatment group and 28 patients in the control group who completed the study.After treatment,the frequency of vertigo attack in both groups was significantly reduced compared with that before treatment(P＜0.01),but there was no significant differ-ence between the two groups(P＞0.05).The DHI scores,VAS scores and ABC scores in both groups were signifi-cantly improved compared with those before treatment(P＜0.01),and the treatment group was better than the con-trol group(P＜0.05).The overall effictive of the treatment group was 96.55％,which was significantly higher than 92.86％in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Tongdu Tiaoshen acupuncture combined with vestibular reha-bilitation can significantly reduce the clinical symptoms of VM patients and improve the quality of life.
