Clinical Observation of 12-point 3-line Technique Combined with Scapular Tri-muscle Localization for the Treatment of Cervical Radiculopathy Using Acupotome
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and explore the therapeutic mechanisms of the 12-point 3-line technique combined with scapular tri-muscle localization using acupotome in the treatment of cervical ra-diculopathy.Methods:One hundred and four patients were divided into an acupotome group(48 cases)and an acupuncture group(56 cases). Both groups received basic treatment, with the acupotome group receiving acupoto-my and the acupuncture group receiving acupuncture. After 20 days of treatment, the TCM symptom efficacy,treat-ment duration, hospital stay, and hospital costs were recorded. The Cervical Disability Index(NDI)and prostaglan-din E2(PGE2)levels were measured before and after treatment. Results:In terms of TCM symptom efficacy,treat-ment duration, hospital stay, and hospital costs, the acupotome group showed significantly better performance than the acupuncture group(P<0.05).After treatment, the NDI and PGE2 levels in the acupotome group were signifi-cantly better than those in the acupuncture group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The 12-point 3-line technique com-bined with scapular tri-muscle localization using acupotome for cervical radiculopathy is effective and superior to acupuncture therapy.
