Research Progress in the Treatment of Glaucoma Optic Neuropathy with Traditional Chinese Medicine
Glaucoma is the first irreversible blinding eye disease in the world,and glaucoma-tous optic neuropathy is the main cause of vision decline and visual field defect in glaucoma pa-tients.In recent years,Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)has made some progress in the treat-ment of glaucoma optic neuropathy,and this paper combs and summarizes the aspects of TCM dif-ferentiation and treatment,Chinese medicines and its active ingredients,acupuncture treatment,etc.,and finds that TCM can effectively control the occurrence and development of glaucoma optic neuropathy,protect part of the damaged optic nerve,stabilize or improve the visual function of pa-tients,and have certain clinical advantages.This study can provide a reference for clinicians to di-agnose and treat glaucoma optic neuropathy.
