Exploring the Medication Regularity of XIE Like in Treating Orbital Inflammatory Pseudotumor Based on Data Mining
OBJECTIVE To explore the prescription medication patterns of XIE Like in treating orbital inflammatory pseudotumor(OIPT)using data mining techniques.METHODS Patient records diagnosed by XIE Like from August 2021 to February 2022 at the Eye Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences were included.Prescription information was input into an Excel software to establish a database.After standardizing the names of Chinese medicines,Excel software was used for frequency analysis of Chinese medicines usage.System clustering analysis was conducted using SPSS 22.0 software,and Chinese medicines association analysis were performed using SPSS Modeler 14.1 software to create a neural network diagram.Additionally,Apriori association rules were used to model and mine the medication compatibility rules.RESULTS(1)General information:A total of 84 prescriptions comprising 138 different Chinese medicines were collected,with a cumulative frequency of medication use of 1,673 times.(2)Chinese medicines properties:Cold-natured Chinese medicines were the most common,accounting for 59 medicines(42.75%).Sweet-flavored Chinese medicines were the most prevalent among the five tastes,with 43 medicines(31.16%).Regarding meridian tropism,liver meridian was the most frequently used,comprising 40 medicines(28.99%).(3)High frequency Chinese medicines:A total of 26 high-frequency Chinese medicines(≥25 times of usage)were identified.The top five were Radix Saposhnikoviae 76 times(4.54%),Flos Carthami 74 times(4.42%),Radix Rehmanniae 69 times(4.12%),Semen Persicae 68 times(4.06%),and Rhizoma Paridis 66 times(3.95%).(4)Clustering analysis of high-frequency Chinese medicines:Four categories of formulations were identified,classified by their effects as heat-clearing and detoxifying,blood-activating and stasis-resolving,wind-dispelling and heat-clearing swell-reducing and stagnation-dispersing,spleen-tonifying and dampness-drying.(5)Association rule analysis of high-frequency Chinese medicines:The top five associations were Rhizoma Paridis-Herba Lobeliae Chinensis,Radix Saposhnikoviae)-Herba Lobeliae Chinensis,Semen Persicae-Herba Lobeliae Chinensis,Radix Rehmanniae-Herba Lobeliae Chinensis,and Fructus Gardeniae-Rhizoma Paridis.CONCLUSIONS XIE Like's treatment of orbital inflammatory pseudotumor primarily involves the usage of cold-natured and sweet-flavored medicines,mostly targeting liver meridian.The main therapeutic strategies involve heat-clearing and detoxification,blood-activating and stasis-resolving,while also considering nourishing body fluids and enhancing the body's vitality,providing valuable guidance for clinical practice.
