Exploring the Treatment of Ocular Myasthenia Gravis Based on the Theory of Heel Vessel and the Reinforcement of Qi and Warming Yang
Ocular Myasthenia Gravis(MG)is an autoimmune disease primarily characterized by drooping upper eyelids and diplopia. The theory of heel vessel is closely related to ocular circulation, physiology, and pathology. This study delves into the treatment of ocular MG based on the heel vessel theory, providing a theoretical basis for applying the reinforcement of Qi and warming Yang to treat this condition. When the Yang Qi is deficient, and the heel vessel lacks nourishment, combined with pathological factors like Qi stagnation, blood stasis, phlegm turbidity, and external pathogens obstructing the heel vessel, the obstruction in the circulation of Qi can lead to the occurrence of ocular MG.To address these pathological mechanisms, treatment primarily involves the reinforcement of Qi and warming Yang as the fundamental approach.Additionally, employing methods to promote the circulation of channels, remove stagnation, strengthen the body's defense, and stabilize the surface can yield favorable therapeutic effects.
