Research Progress on the Application of Six Meridian Syndrome Differentiation in the Treatment of Fundus Degenerative Diseases in High Myopia
If the eye axis of highly myopic(HM)eyes is progressively elongated,it will lead to a series of degenerative diseases such as choroidal and retinal atrophy in the fundus, which will develop into pathological myopia and seriously endanger visual function. The macular degeneration caused by HM has become the leading cause of blindness in middle-aged and elderly people in China, and the prognosis of Western medicines, surgery and other therapies is poor.Ophthalmology of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)has a long history and a complete theoretical system. The pathogenesis of HM fundus degeneration follows a pattern from shallow to deep, which is consistent with the theoretical system of TCM ophthalmology's six meridians differentiation.Based on"ophthalmic six meridians differentiation method",this article explores the specific methods of treating HM fundus degeneration in stages and parts.
