Exploration and Practice of Constructing Clinical Practice Teaching Bases in Oph-thalmology of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Clinical practice in Ophthalmology of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)is a challenging and critical component of ophthalmology education for undergraduate clinical medicine students. The clinical practice in ophthalmology is divided into three stages:pre-clinical practice, during clinical practice, and post-clinical practice.Any issues arising at any stage can affect the overall effectiveness of clinical practice, leading to unmet expectations in practical skills. The Ophthalmology Department of Tong Ren Hospital,Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine has improved the construction of TCM clinical practice teaching bases.Focusing on the characteristics and teaching challenges of Ophthalmology of TCM,the department has explored a standardized ophthalmology teaching model with distinctive TCM characteristics.By adopting teaching methods such as role-playing and scenario simulation, the initiative has significantly increased students'proactivity in clinical practice, shortened the time required to master Ophthalmology of TCM practical skills, and enhanced clinical thinking maturity. This has effectively improved the effectiveness of Ophthalmology of TCM clinical practice teaching and overall teaching satisfaction.
