Experience of QIU Lixin in Treating Macular Diseases with Yipi Decoction
Spleen is the foundation acquired after birth,known as the"storehouse official"and the source of Qi and blood biosynthesis,representing the great Yuan acquired after birth.Spleen governs transportation and transformation,controls blood,and promotes the ascent of pure Qi.It plays a crucial role in body fluid metabolism,digestion and absorption,Qi and blood generation and circulation,and nutrient absorption.In Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)clinical practice,more attention is paid to spleen Yang deficiency syndrome in spleen Qi disorders,while spleen Yin deficiency syndrome is less discussed.However,all human organs have Yin and Yang,and only when Yin and Yang are in harmony can the functions of the organs be normally performed.Spleen Yin deficiency syndrome is not uncommon in clinical practice.This article summarizes the clinical experience of QIU Lixin,a mentor in the seventh batch of academic experience inheritance work nationwide,in treating eye diseases related to spleen Yin deficiency syndrome.The main syndrome differentiation signs of spleen Yin deficiency syndrome,such as dry lips,dry skin,dry mouth,dry stool,fatigue,poor appetite,and tooth-marked edges of the tongue,are summarized.The application of Yipi Decoction for treatment is proposed,with proven effectiveness.This article aims to introduce some application experiences of Yipi Decoction in ophthalmic clinical practice by analyzing cases of macular diseases diagnosed and treated with Yipi Decoction.
