The Mechanism of Action of Tonifying Liver and Spleen Method in the Treatment of Functional Dyspepsia Based on Brain-intestine-bacteria Axis
Functional dyspepsia,as a common clinical disease, its pathogenesis has been proved to be directly related to gastrointestinal dynamics, visceral sensitivity, gastrointestinal microecology, etc.in modern medicine. The brain-intestinal-bacterial axis,as a special pathway in the human body, can better explain its complex pathological mechanism.Traditional Chinese medicine has very precise effi-cacy in the treatment of functional dyspepsia. From the perspective of Chinese medicine theory,the"transportation"and"transforma-tion"of the spleen and stomach are highly similar to the gastrointestinal dynamics and nutritional metabolism of modern medicine, and the liver's main function is to influence the qi of the spleen and stomach and to smooth the flow of qi.The functions of the liver, which is re-sponsible for the drainage, influencing the qi of the spleen and stomach, and the emotion influencing the thinking, etc.link the central sys-tem with the gastrointestinal tract, which is highly similar to the"brain-intestinal-bacteria axis"of modern medicine. The mutual treat-ment of functional dyspepsia from both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine can strengthen the understanding of its etiol-ogy,pathogenesis,and treatment principles and methods, and expand the application of Chinese medicine to tonify the liver and spleen.
