Auricular Point Pressing Beans Combined with Acupoint Application in the Treatment of Postoperative Constipation of Elderly Patients with Intertrochanteric Fracture of Femur
Objective To analyze the curative effect of auricular point pressing beans combined with acupoint application on elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture of femur who underwent proximal femoral anti-rotation intramedullary nail internal fixation and its effect on postoperative constipation.Methods Seventy elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture of the femur who were treated with anti-rotation intramedullary nail fixation of the proximal femur in Nancheng County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2020 to February 2022 were retrospectively selected and divided into two groups,with 35 patients in each group.The combined treatment group was treated with auricular point pressing beans combined with acupoint application,and the conventional treatment group was treated with routine treatment.Results The incidence of postoperative constipation in the combined treatment group was 8.57％(3/35),which was lower than that in the conventional treatment group(31.43％,11/35).All perioperative indexes were better than those of conventional treatment group.The total effective rate was 91.43％(32/35),which was higher than that of 71.43％(25/35)in conventional treatment group.The incidence of postoperative complications was 2.86％(1/35),which was lower than the con-ventional treatment group(25.71％,9/35)(P＜0.05).After treatment,the Symptom Self-rating Scale(PAC-SYM)scores,Visual Ana-logue Scale(VAS)scores,anxiety scores and depression scores of constipation patients in the combined treatment group were all lower than those in the conventional treatment group,and the callus growth score and Harris score of fracture end were all higher than those in the conventional treatment group(P＜0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture of the fe-mur who have undergone proximal femoral anti-rotation intramedullary nail fixation,the effect of auricular point pressing beans com-bined with acupoint application is significant,which can reduce the occurrence of postoperative constipation.
