Discussion on the Potential Targets of Invigorating the Kidney in the Treatment of Gastric Cancer Based on the Vitamin D Axis
Vitamin D is an important vitamin in the human body,which can be obtained through eating or exposure to sunlight.Huangdi Neijing says:the kidney is the gateway to the stomach,which further clarifies the internal relationship between the stomach and the kidney in physiology and pathology.Therefore,it can effectively treat gastric cancer(GC)by regulating the function of the kid-ney.Because vitamin deficiency has a close influence on(GC),vitamin supplementation can effectively improve the quality of life of(GC)patients.The author reviewed domestic and foreign literatures and studies in the early stage and found that the vitamin D axis is closely related to(GC).Based on this,it is speculated that the method of"tonifying the kidney"in the treatment of gastric cancer by traditional Chinese medicine may be to prevent and treat(GC)by acting on the vitamin D axis to regulate the growth,invasion,metasta-sis and apoptosis of gastric cancer cells.Therefore,vitamin D axis may be the key target of GC in"tonifying kidney treatment".
