Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu Decoction in the Treatment of Swelling and Pain after Arthroscopic Debridement of Knee Osteoarthritis
Objective To explore the clinical effect of Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu decoction on swelling and pain after arthroscopic debride-ment of knee osteoarthritis.Methods A total of 69 patients with swelling pain after arthroscopic debridement of knee osteoarthritis treated in Nanchang Hongdu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected as the objects of this study,and were divided into control group of 34 cases and observation group of 35 cases according to random number table method.The control group was given routine treatment,and the observation group was given Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu on the basis of the control group.Visual analogue pain(VAS)scores and knee swelling values of the two groups were compared before surgery and on day 1,day 3,day 7 and day 14 after sur-gery,and the clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated.Results Before surgery,there was no significant difference in VAS score and knee swelling between the two groups(P＞0.05).On day 1,3,7 and 14 after surgery,VAS score and knee swelling in observa-tion group were lower than those in control group(P＜0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.14％(34/35),which was higher than that of the control group(82.35％,28/34),and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu decoction can effectively relieve pain,eliminate swelling and improve therapeutic effect in patients with swelling and pain after arthroscopic debridement of knee osteoarthritis.
