Ulcerative colitis(UC)is a chronic non-specific intestinal inflammatory bowel disease with unknown etiology,which has the characteristics of recurrent attacks,which brings great pain to patients and seriously affects people's quality of life.At present,there is a lack of satisfactory treatment for this disease in modern medicine.Traditional Chinese medicine has obvious advantages in the prevention and treatment of UC through holistic concept and syndrome differentiation.Through studying with Professor Sun Fengxia,summing up Professor Sun Fengxia's experience in treating UC,although the disease is located in the large intestine,it is closely related to the liver,and emphasizes that attention should be paid to the influence of emotion on UC in the course of treatment.It is advocated that UC should be treated from the point of view of clearing heat and promoting dampness,regulating liver and regulat-ing qi,and created the empirical prescription Xianmei decoction,which has achieved good clinical results.
