Catgut Embedding at Stellate Ganglion Points in the Treatment of Chronic Eczema
Objective To observe the effect of catgut embedding at stellate ganglion,Sima,Quchi(LI11),Xuehai(SP10),Geshu(BL17)and Feishu(BL 13)points on the clinical efficacy,eosinophil level and recurrence rate of chronic eczema.Methods A total of 80 pa-tients with chronic eczema were randomly divided into two groups,with 2 cases shedding,and 78 cases were included in the end,38 cases in the observation group and 40 cases in the control group.The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine,and the observation group was treated with stellate ganglion and other acupoint embedding therapy.The eczema area and severity in-dex(EASI)score,itch score,eosinophilia level before and after treatment were compared between the two groups,and the recurrence rate in the second and sixth months after treatment of the effective patients.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 86.84％(33/38),which was higher than that of the control group(75.00％,30/40)(P＜0.05).After treatment,EASI score,itch score,eosinophilic level and recurrence rate at the 2nd and 6th month in observation group were lower than those in control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Acupoint catgut implantation at stellate ganglion and other acupoints can improve the efficacy of treating chronic eczema,alleviate itching,reduce the recurrence rate of eczema,and regulate the level of eosinophils.
