Gushukang Prescription Combined with Percutaneous Vertebroplasty in the Treatment of Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fracture
Objective To explore the effect of Gushukang prescription combined with percutaneous vertebroplasty in the treatment of senile vertebral compression fracture. Methods A total of 62 patients with osteoporotic spinal fracture admitted to Taihe County Hospi-tal of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2020 to March 2023 were divided into control group and observation group, with 31 cases in all.The control group was given percutaneous vertebroplasty and conventional drug treatment, and the observation group was given percutaneous vertebroplasty and Gushukang prescription for 3 months. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.8%(30/31),which was higher than that of the control group(80.6%,25/31)(P<0.05).After treatment, the recovery degree of bone mineral density in observation group was higher than that in control group(P<0.05),and the Cobb Angle of vertebral body was lower than that in control group(P<0.05).The TCM syndrome score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),and the healing time of vertebral fracture was much shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05).The scores of Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)in ob-servation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Gushukang prescription combined with percutaneous ver-tebroplasty has better efficacy in the treatment of senility vertebral compression fracture, improving osteoporosis, slowing down the healing time of fracture, and effectively reducing lumbar pain.
