With the rapid development of local traditional Chinese medicine,it is urgent to cultivate a group of practical talents in tra-ditional Chinese medicine who can serve the local economy and be able to engage in the standardized cultivation of traditional Chinese medicine,the identification of medicinal plants,the processing and processing of traditional Chinese medicine,and the pharmacy of traditional Chinese medicine.In view of some problems existing in the construction of Chinese materia medica specialty,combined with the experience of Jinhua Institute of Technology in preparing for the Chinese materia medica specialty,this paper discussed the construction ideas of Chinese materia medica specialty in local applied science and engineering colleges and universities,and pro-posed that adhering to the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine and highlighting the local characteristics,highlighting the application-oriented characteristics,and giving full play to the radiation and leading role of science and engineering disciplines on Chinese materia medica specialty,in order to promote the high-level construction of Chinese materia medica specialty in local applied science and engineering undergraduate colleges.
