Effect of career motivation training on professional values and learning motivation of students in naval junior aviation school
Objective To explore the influence of career motivation training on professional values and learning motivation of students in naval junior aviation school(NJS).Methods The flight career motivation training program was designed, and a controlled experiment was used to conduct a four-month career motivation training for the students in a NJS.The total scores and each factor score of professional values questionnaire and learning motivation questionnaire before, during, and after the experiment were compared in experimental group and control group. Results The development factor score and prestige status factor score of the students in the experimental group were significantly improved compared with those before training(Development factor:t=-2.095,df=61,P<0.05;Prestige status factor:t=-3.354,df=61,P<0.01),while the health factor score and prestige status factor of the students in the control group were significantly improved(Health factor:t=-2.952,df=52,P<0.01;Prestige status:t=-4.708,df=52,P<0.001).The pre-,middle-,and post-test scores of external learning motivation of the students in both groups did not change significantly(P>0.05).The post-test scores of internal learning motivation of the students in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the pre-test(t=-2.664,df=59,P<0.05)and middle-test(t=-2.129,df=59,P<0.05),while no difference was found among those scores of the students in the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion Career motivation training can effectively improve the levels of internal learning motivation and self-development of professional values of the students in NJS.
