Clinical efficacy of hyperbaric oxygen-assisted chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy and its impact on immune response level in patients with peritoneal metastasis of gastric cancer
Objective To study the clinical efficacy of hyperbaric oxygen-assisted chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy and its impact on immune response level in patients with peritoneal metastasis of gastric cancer. Methods From May 2020 to May 2023,a total of 142 patients diagnosed with peritoneal metastasis of gastric cancer in the Department of Gastroenterology of Shangyu People's Hospital of Shaoxing were conveniently selected. All of them received chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy.According to whether they received hyperbaric oxygen-assisted treatment, they were divided into a study group(n=63)and a control group(n=79).Before and after treatment, the psychological indicators[self-rating depression scale(SDA),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)],clinical efficacy, drug toxicity grading, cytokine levels[interleukin(IL)-2,IL-4,IL-10,IL-37,IL-39,and INF-γ)and immune cell levels(CD3T+,CD4T+,CD8T+,NK cell contents, and CD4T+/CD8T+]of the two groups of patients were compared. Results The effective rate of treatment in the study group(53.97%)was higher than that in the control group(39.24%),and the drug toxicity grading score[(1.24±0.19)points]was lower than that in the control group[(3.04±0.28)points],and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of SDA,SAS,and PSQI in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the study group were lower than those in the control group at the same time point, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of IL-2 and IL-10 in the study group were higher than those in the control group, the level of CD4T+,NK cells contents, and CD4T+/CD8T+were higher than those in the control group, and the levels of IL-4,IL-37,IL-39,and INF-γ were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were all statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Hyperbaric oxygen-assisted chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy not only has a good therapeutic effect on patients with peritoneal metastasis of gastric cancer, but also helps to relieve patients'negative emotions and improve the immune response level.
