Impacts of hyperbaric oxygen therapy on myocardial function, health behavior and prognosis in NSTEMI patients based on the intervention mode of Newman system
Objective To explore the effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy based on the intervention mode of Newman system on myocardial function, health behavior, and prognosis in patients with non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction(NSTEMI).Methods A total of 89 NSTEMI patients at medium and high risk levels admitted to the Cardiovascular Department of the First People's Hospital of Shangqiu from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the study subjects. The patients were divided into a control group(n=47)and a study group(n=42)according to their treatment methods. The control group received conventional treatment combined with the intervention mode of Newman system, while the study group received the intervention mode of Newman system combined with hyperbaric oxygen therapy on the basis of conventional treatment. The metabolic uptake fraction(99mTc-MIBI)was analyzed and calculated using a single photon emission computed tomography;a fully automated biochemical analyzer was used to detect serum levels of cardiac troponin Ⅰ(cTnI)and creatine kinase isoenzyme(CK-MB);left ventricular end systolic diameter(LVESD)and left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD)were measured using two-dimensional echocardiography, and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)was calculated;the health behavior of two groups of patients before and after treatment was evaluated using the Health Promotion Lifestyle Inventory Ⅱ(HPLP-Ⅱ);the incidence of cardiovascular adverse events during treatment in two groups of patients was statistically analyzed. Results Compared with before treatment, the study group showed a significant increase in 99mTc-MIBI uptake fraction after treatment(P<0.01);and the 99mTc-MIBI uptake fraction in the study group after treatment was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.01).After treatment, the levels of cTnI and CK-MB in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01),and LVEF in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.01),while LVESD and LVEDD were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, both groups of patients showed a significant increase in HPLP-Ⅱ scores after treatment, and the score of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group after treatment(P<0.01).The incidence of cardiovascular adverse events in the control group(14.89%)was significantly higher than that in the study group(2.38%)with a statistically significant difference(x2=4.245,P=0.039).Conclusion The intervention mode of Newman system combined with hyperbaric oxygen therapy can promote myocardial function recovery and improve healthy behavior and prognosis, demonstrating high safety in patients with NSTEMI.
