Systematic review of fatigue prevalence and its influencing factors in patients with maintenance hemodialysis
Objective To evaluate the incidence of fatigue and its influencing factors in patients with maintenance hemodialysis(MHD).Methods PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,CINAHL,SinoMed CNKI,VIP and Wangfang were searched from inception to December 2022,aiming to collect studies on the prevalence of fatigue and its risk factors in patients with MHD.Two researchers independently conducted literature screening then data extraction and quality evaluation were conducted according to the standards.Stata 17 software was used for carrying out the meta-analysis of incidence and influencing factors.Results A total of 18 studies were included,involving 7 695 cases of MHD.The results of meta-analysis showed that the incidence of fatigue was 64.0%[95%CI(0.58,0.70)].Serum albumin,sleep quality,gender,duration of dialysis,ultrafiltration capacity,anxiety,depression,and age were the influencing factors of fatigue in MHD patients(all P<0.05).Conclusion The prevalence of fatigue in patients with MHD is high and there are many influencing factors.Medical workers should provide targeted intervention for them according to the factors of fatigue,so as to help them prevent the occurrence of fatigue and improve the quality of life of patients.
