Analysis and reflection on course construction of Problem Solving for Better Health in undergraduate nursing
Objective To analyze the course construction of Problem Solving for Better Health(PSBH),and make clear the construction direction according to the labor education.Methods We reviewed the course construction of Problem Solving for Better Health,and conducted a textual analyze of the 1 032 students project topics and 177 students project summary sentences using ROST Content Mining System version 6.Results More than 20 years after opening,PSBH is now a social practice course in our school,which helps students improve their social practice skills in a project-driven manner.The word frequency analysis of the project topics showed that the frequency of"knowledge"was the highest(275 times),and"old people"rose to second place in frequency.The sentiment analysis of project summary from the students showed that 85.88%of the sentences(152)were positive emotion,mainly involving the positive influence of the project.Meanwhile,11.86%of the sentences were negative,mainly for the adverse effects of the health problems they were concemed about or the shortcomings in the practice process.Conclusion The course construction of PSBH has achieved primary effect,but there are still some limitation.The course reform should be carried out according to the guidance of the Ministry of Education on labor education,which can promote the construction of labor education in nursing professional curriculum.
