Construction of a peritoneal dialysis peer educator training content checklist
Objective To develop a training content checklist for peer educators in peritoneal dialysis.Methods Through literature review and interviews with medical staffs in nephrology departments and patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis,a preliminary training content checklist for peer educators in peritoneal dialysis was initially formulated.Fifteen experts from eight provinces were selected as the subjects for correspondence consultation,and two rounds of consultation were conducted with them from September 2023 to November 2023.Eventually,the training content checklist for peer educators of peritoneal dialysis was finalized.Results The effective response rate of the two rounds of expert correspondence consultation were both 100％.The expert authority coefficients were 0.92 and 0.95,respectively.The Kendall's coefficients of concordance were 0.357 and 0.384(P＜0.001),respectively.The finalized training content checklist for peer educators in peritoneal dialysis comprised three first-level items,14 second-level items,and 66 third-level items.Conclusion The training content checklist for peer educators in peritoneal dialysis constructed in this study possesses good scientific rigor and reliability,and can provide a valuable reference for the development of training programs for peer educators in peritoneal dialysis.
