Teaching reform and practice of Basic Nursing Technology course under the background of Job-Course-Competition-Certificate
Objective To explore the teaching reform path and practical effects of Basic Nursing Technology course under the integration of Job-Course-Competition-Certificate.Methods Under the background of integrating Job-Course-Competition-Certificate,a Basic Nursing Technology course was developed based on typical clinical nurs-ing tasks,incorporating the latest job skills,aligning with competition standards,and meeting the requirements for obtaining the"1+X"certificate.The course included four forms:online virtual classs,virtual simulation classs,offline physical classs,and social practice.A five-step teaching approach was adopted:introducing problems,finding solu-tions,scientific analysis,effective problem-solving,and outcome evaluation.This teaching method was applied to 326 nursing students in the 2020 cohort(experimental group).In comparison,319 nursing students from the 2019 co-hort received blended teaching based on the pre-reform design without Job-Course-Competition-Certificate integration.After the teaching intervention,the comprehensive professional ability assessment scores and self-directed learning ability scores of the two groups were compared.Results After the teaching intervention,the comprehensive profes-sional ability assessment scores and self-directed learning ability scores of the students in experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group(both P<0.05).Conclusion The reform of Basic Nursing Tech-nology course based on the integration of Job-Course-Competition-Certificate can enhance students'comprehensive vocational abilities and improve teaching quality.
