Application research of positive and negative case study combined with situational education in the training of humanistic care ability for new nurses
Objective To explore the application effectiveness of integrating positive and negative case studies with scenario simulation in the training of humanistic care ability among new nurses. Methods A total of 38 new nurses in August 2021 were selected as the control group, and 40 new nurses in August 2022 were selected as the experimental group.Based on the theoretical training on humanistic care provided by the nursing department, the control group received traditional positive case scenario simulation training monthly, while the experimental group received a combination of positive and negative case study and scenario simulation training. The training lasted for a total of six months. The humanistic care competence and empathy abilities of nurses were evaluated and compared before and after the training. Results The total score for human caring ability in experimental group(206.95±2.63)was significantly higher than that in the control group(187.18±4.86),and the total score for empathy ability in experimental group(101.13±1.60)was higher than that in control group(82.21±1.75),with both differences being statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of positive and negative case study with scenario simulation training is helpful in improving the humanistic caring ability and empathic ability of new nurses.
